Pencil Eyeliner: Beginners are advised to use this type of eyeliner. It is easy to control plus mistakes can be easily removed with cotton buds. But, pecil eyeliner have a more blurred and less defined line. It can also smudged easily and is not suitable for long-duration wearing.
Gel Eyeliner: Gel eyeliner’s effect is more dense than pencil eyeliner but is not as glossy as liquid eyeliner. It can be easily applied with an eyeliner brush. Gel liner usually holds up very well. Most gel eyeliner formulas are relatively long wearing and smudge proof. They usually come in a glass jar and is to be used with a synthetic eyeliner brush.
Liquid eyeliner: I personally think that liquid eyeliner is the hardest to apply, because the mistakes are easy to make and difficult to correct. You have to let it dry first after applying it by closing your eyes. Plus it can easily stain your eyelid. The runny texture of the fluid also makes controlling the brush a challenge to beginners. Liquid eyeliner gives a very solid and glossy line which can be the very essence of a makeup look. It is also the best eyeliner to use if you want to achieve the all-time-famous Audrey Hepburn’s cat eye.
I would recommend girls to use pencil eyeliner at day and liquid eyeliner at night. Pencil gives you the easy look on your eyes, while liquid gives a more edgy and somehow dramatic look.
